Between 19th and 25th February '24, artist Jitendra Ramesh Divte is exhibiting his paintings in a solo show at Jehangir Art Gallery.
Educated from L S Raheja School of arts, Jitendra is an acclaimed artist whose paintings had been displayed in various prestigious platforms across the globe.
The central theme of his paintings revolve around the ethereal spirit of Banaras and other ancient locations of India.
The flowing wash in most of his paintings implies as if the wave of time has swept over the landscapes or sculptures or even people yet could not erase any of them. They live even this day and will live tomorrow.
The whole show is worth visiting, to immerse unto a seamless spirit of time and history.
